You know God has called you to speak…
but you don’t know where to start
You want to share your message with the world, but how do you do that?
hope for the best… wait for the phone to ring with a booking to speak…
post your message on social media and wait for the calls…
here’s the truth,
the most effective way to share your message is to get the training you need.
Welcome to the Christian Communicators Conference where we help you navigate the ins and outs of the speaking world.
You’ll learn how to:
Create a one sheet that gets attention
Use presentation skills that will make your message more effective
Connect with your audience
Speak with confidence & clarity
Craft a message that moves the audience
… AND SO MUCH MORE

Co-Directors & Speakers
The founder of Joy for the Journey Ministries is Tammy Whitehurst. She was a middle school teacher for 16 years before bringing her message of hope, joy, and laughter onstage full-time to audiences.
She is the author of a devotional, High Heels and Hallelujahs, and her uplifting articles have been published in LifeWay’s HomeLife, Christianity Today, Seek magazine, Evangel, Mature Years, Women’s World and several other publications.
Tammy and her husband, Davis, are empty-nesters living on a lake in East Texas. To those who know her best she is simply Davis’s wife, an empty nest mom, and a former middle school teacher. She struggles like the rest of us with dust, dishes, cellulite, junk drawers, too much coffee, and wrinkles.

“When I stepped into the Christian Communicators role as co-owner, I felt like the glass slipper fit perfectly. Helping women lose their worry and live their wonderful is my Cinderella Story”
She is an award winning author and blog contributor. Her book, HOPE IN THE RUINS – is a proven strategy to transform “hurt” into hope. She is a keynote speaker and life-plan coach offering workshops and retreats for women seeking clarity and confidence to step into their God-given purpose.
