“…for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” (Philippians 2:13 NIV).
Every single time someone else steps up the microphone, you might be thinking, “I wish I could be doing that. I want to be a speaker with lots of speaking opportunities!” Your heart longs to be the one at the podium, and you are patiently waiting for God to say, “GO!”
- Sometimes things go wrong before they go right.
- Sometimes we have to let the wrong people walk out before the right people can walk in.
- Sometimes we have to feel weak in order to know what it’s like to be strong.
- Sometimes we have to feel a little broken to realize we can never be destroyed.
When we are beginning a speaking ministry, we wonder if God will ever open doors and opportunities. We wonder if we misunderstood the calling or if we are not good enough.
Rest assured, the doors will open. At the perfect time. Keep praying and never give up that He is not watching. His eyes are on the clock and his hand is on the thermostat for the perfect time to open the doors of opportunity.
Sometimes all it takes is a little more patience, a few more prayers and more faith in the fact that God is in control.
