For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
I am very excited to introduce myself to you as co-director of Christian Communicators. God has a plan for CCC! I am humbled and honored to be a part of this amazing organization.
I am looking forward to meeting all of the CCC graduates, whether in person or online. By browsing blogs and social media, I’ve had a glimpse of the talents, giftings and experience of our CCC sisters. Through each individual woman, and as a whole, Christian Communicators will continue to build the Kingdom of God in our families, churches and communities.
Attending CCC in 2014 was nothing short of a series of miracles involving scholarships, free air miles and a juggling of my schedule. God had a plan that I attend the conference. But He had an even bigger Plan with a capital ”P”. Little did I know that I would be a co-director less than two years later!
As a full time speaker and minister to women, I’ve had many conversations with women who don’t believe that God has a plan for their life. Oh, it’s easy to believe that God has plan for their family, friends, co-worker or pastor. But it’s much more difficult for them to believe that there is a God-ordained plan for their life.
One of the things that can get in the way of this is recognizing our calling vs. our assignment. The word called as used in the New Testament, means to call, invite, or summon. When we can fully understand the call He has for us, it is easy to follow. At times, though, our assignment doesn’t seem to match up with our call.
You may be called to be a speaker to women, a minister to the nations or a best-selling author. However, your current assignment may be raising a family, partnering with your husband or working in an office to support your family. Our calling does not change, our assignment often does.
Obedience is the key. When we trust God, and accept the assignment in front of us, we are blessed.
1Corinthians 7:17 from The Message Bible says:And don’t be wishing you were someplace else or with someone else. Where you are right now is God’s place for you. Live and obey and love and believe right there. God, not your marital status, defines your life. Don’t think I’m being harder on you than on the others. I give this same counsel in all the churches.
Believe that God has a Plan with a capital “P” for you! Trust Him, embrace your current assignment and remember your calling.
Blessings CCC sisters!
