Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.
Margie Houmes was an anchor prayer warrior for every CCC sister called to speak boldly for Christ. She was full of life, rooted in scripture, and bore fruit filled prayers. Vonda and I saw how she spoke the Word into a need. Her platform was scripture filled prayers.
Margie stayed in the armor of God as a ready prayer warrior. She stood on the gospel of peace. The breast plate of righteousness protected her heart with love and her back with faith. The belt of truth held her up right while the helmet of salvation kept her facing the Savior. In her right hand, she swung the sword of the Spirit to free those she prayed for from bondage, falsehoods, and blocked paths to victory. The shield of faith she held in her left hand was battle scared. Often she protected others as well as her self from the flaming arrows of evil.
Our beloved prayer warrior kept in practice these key words from Ephesians 6:10, “…be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
Vonda and I have cried and celebrated over heaven’s gain and our loss. We share here a few words from others touched by Margie.
Rejoicing in memories,
