It’s a done deal. We have been forgiven as far as the east is from the west if we are believers in the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Here is the tough part. (Hold your horses and hang on tight.) If God has forgiven us he expects us to forgive as well. The hardest thing in the world to do. Why? Because it’s personal. It hurt. It was wrong.
If we want to live life fully alive, we must let it go. Enough is enough. That moment [the ugly moment] has stolen too many days. It robs victims of years of happiness, laughter, and peace. Time to say, “Enough is Enough!”
Forgiveness means not saying “I forgive you, but…….” or “I forgive you, if……” Just say “I forgive you and I am moving on with my life.” If the person is dead or you have no idea where they are–just say it out loud. Then, thank the Lord for breaking chains of bondage and bitterness and move on.
He pleads with us to be done with it today. Let’s move forward and enjoy the life we have left. However long that might be.
As the dawn breaks today, allow the power of Jesus to break the chains of unforgiveness that have us in bondage. [You know the ones I am talking about.] Only Jesus can make the impossible task of real forgiveness possible. It does not mean it was okay. It does not mean it was excusable or permissible. It means you are finished with it. You are laying it down and letting it go. The pain of it no longer has control of your life. The suffocating and strangling part is finished. Freedom has come! (((Squeeze-the-daylights-out-of-you-hug!))))) Let’s begin this day singing.
♫With a grateful heart, with a song of praise With an outstretched arm I’ll bless Your Name. Thank You, Lord, I just want to thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord.♫
That my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever. Psalm 30:12
