Do you have family or friends who have asked you to come to their place for Christmas and you just didn’t want to go?
My husband and I have been asked by family to cross through five states to join them for Christmas. We haven’t been with all of them for Christmas for over 25 years. There are good reasons for the years of absences. However, the asking began six months ago, so there has been much prayer about going.
In a pause after a resent prayer, the answer became clear, “Go! take Christ within you where the lost are calling you.”
It was then that peace came in when I let go of worries and fears. With the decision made a revelation was revealed.
We will be able to share the Christmas story through Readers Theatre scripts I’m making from Jack Countryman’s book titled The Hope of Christmas. Being prepared for fitting into their traditions of playing games and telling stories on Christmas day with scripts in hand will help motivate all ages to participate. The readers and watchers will be reminded of the prophecies, fulfillments, and promises that Christ Jesus accomplished.
Therefore, traveling through five states will be a pleasure when Christ’s platform of hope will be the gift that goes beyond Christmas day.
The LORD is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?
