Several of you have emailed that you've been unable to access our Christian Communicators site or open the pages easily. Believe me when I say we feel your pain! For the past five to six weeks--about the time we opened registration!--our server has let us down. Every few days the server is either down or extremely slow, which is not an acceptable situation. Our webmaster and I have been on the phone with GoDaddy, our server, several times, and we're always told they're working on it, but so far, the issue hasn't been resolved. We can hardly get on ourselves and even have difficulty uploading a simple blog post!

People often ask me how I come up with ideas for my speaking and writing ministry. The good news is, it's easy! Today we'll look at 7 ways you can find ideas for topics and presentations. (Thanks to my friend and worship leader, Jeff Hall, for sharing these ideas in a recent message at my home church, Westside Church.) As Jeff said, God gave us these experiences so we can use them to help others. And developing your speaking ministry is a powerful way to give to and help others!

While recovering from major surgery, I received many get well cards. They were encouragements from friends. They were tangible items of love. The senders showed their willingness to stay in touch. The cards were also items to hold while praying for the sender as I was confined to bed rest.

These paper items are trophies that line my office shelves as friends standing beside me. The cards show partnerships, friendships and sisters in Christ showing support and care.

For the last two weeks, I have found this to be truer than I ever imagined when I had invasive surgery. I was not alone calling upon the Lord through it all.
